The toddlers have celebrated all things Diwali. We began by reading a book called Dipal’s Diwali which helped to explain how this religious celebration is cerebrated. The children explored a tuff tray filled with brightly coloured rice, pom poms and feathers and had a go at making some Rangoli patterns. We danced to Indian music with instruments and get dressed up in jewellery and a bindi. Sanita our cook cooked us a yummy curry for our lunch with India Music playing in the backroom. Finally we painted diya lamps using bright paints and glitter.
